Happy Thanksgiving Day!

I have lots and lots to be thankful for. How 'bout you?

Narrative

The drive from Louisville to Washington, DC is about 10 hours. So after the Thanksgiving celebration, I decided to leave Louisville a little early and get some of the drive out of the way. We left about 3pm. I wanted to drive until around 8pm. But when 8pm arrived, I couldn't find a place to stop for the night. Finally at midnight in Hancock, MD I found a truckstop that was open. So we crashed there.

Thought For The Day

From Groucho Marx:

Those are my principles, if you don't like them, I've got others.

Joke Of The Day

A bad day from Denise in IN:

The little guy had been sitting at the bar just thinking and staring at his drink for half an hour when this big, burly, hairy truck driver sits down next to him, grabs his drink and gulps it down in one swig. The poor little guy starts crying.

"Oh, come on man, I was just giving you a hard time," says the truck driver. "I'll buy you another drink. I just can't stand to see a man crying."

"This is the worst day of my life," says the little guy between sobs. "I can't do anything right. I overslept and was late for an important meeting, so my boss fired me. When I went to the parking lot, I found my car was stolen and I have no insurance. I grabbed a cab home and after the cab left, I discovered I left my wallet in the cab. At home I found my wife in bed with the Postman. So I came to this bar trying to work up the courage to put an end to my life.

"And then you show up and spoil everything by drinking the poison."
