In September I decided to take a series of trips to visit all the state capitols. Except for Alaska and Hawaii :)

From that decision came the first trip, the State Capitols · Northeast Tour.

On this trip we'll (The Mighty Navigator and I) be visiting state capitols in the Southeast states. Visit the Route Overview page for specifics on this trip. On future trips we'll visit the other state capitols.

Like the previous trip, the route has been laid out by The Navigator using the fantastic Street Atlas mapping software from DeLorme. He's been practicing and his mapping skills are getting much better. I have also been trying to learn the software a little. But he has discouraged me from doing this, muttering something about "Job Security."

A welcome edition
Linda in SC sent me a series of vignettes named Sign of the Times. I'm happy to include one of these per day along with the joke and thought for the day.

Come join us as we traipse around the Southeast US, getting lost on a regular basis. Which brings me to the guiding philosophy of ALL our trips:

When you don't know where you are, but you don't care, you're not lost, you're exploring.

And now, on with the trip! Just click on one of the day pages above to get started.

What are you doing down here? All the good(?) stuff is up above.
