Sometimes your plan and reality diverge.

The plan: Drive from Aiken County, SC to Dublin, GA. Stay overnight with friends, have Thanksgiving a day early on Wed, 11/22 and then finish the trip.

The reality: Drove from Aiken County, SC to Dublin, GA. At friend's house, found out there was a sudden illness in the family. Didn't feel it was appropriate to stay, continued trip.

We're currently camped in a Flying J truck stop on I-10 just West of Tallahassee, FL. Due to the time (currently 8:45pm), we didn't make it to the state capitol yet. We'll do that first thing in the morning.

I brought several movies on the trip. Having them as .avi files it great. No DVD disk to fool with. Just play the movie straight off the hard drive.

I'm thinking maybe we'll watch "Sea of Love" with Al Pachino and Ellen Barkin. An oldie.

Oh, cool, The Navigator is popping pop corn...

What better way to start the trip than with a picture for June :) This is the Courthouse in Wrens, GA. Note the clock. It has the time as 4:37. Interesting... I took the pic at 2:37. Maybe Wrens, GA has their own time zone? This huge American flag is in front of a car dealership. Magnificent! Creative use for a round bale of hay.
We started with a June pix and we'll end with a June pix.

From Dorothy in SC: Some more great truths that little children have learned:

1) No matter how hard you try, you can't baptize cats.
2) When your Mom is mad at your Dad, don't let her brush your hair.
3) If your sister hits you, don't hit her back. They always catch the second person.
4) Never ask your 3-year old brother to hold a tomato.
5) You can't trust dogs to watch your food.
6) Don't sneeze when someone is cutting your hair.
7) Never hold a Dust-Buster and a cat at the same time.
8) You can't hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk.
9) Don't wear polka-dot underwear under white shorts.
10) The best place to be when you're sad is Grandpa's lap.
