Today was pretty much just a traveling day. Not very much sightseeing.

By the time we got to Providence, RI it was dark. So I experimented with some time lapse photography using the new camera. Turned out pretty well, see the pix below.

The area around the capitol was deserted, so I parked on a two lane street leading into a parking lot to take the pix. Pretty soon we were visited by a policelady who wanted to know why I was blocking the street. After I explained what I was doing she wished us well and left.

Tonight we're camped in a Home Depot parking lot. The sleeping bag will earn it's keep tonight; it's downright chilly sitting here in the van working on this web page.

Boston tomorrow.

The capitol of New Jersey. It's pretty much surrounded by other buildings. This is the best shot I could get. Some geography review: Near New York City, the Hudson River separates New York from New Jersey. There is quite a bit of difference between the Hudson River shore in NY and the shore in NJ.

In NY, the shore is pretty level with the river. But in NJ, the shore is steep cliffs called the Palisades. The Palisades Parkway runs along the edge of the cliffs. This pix was taken at a scenic overlook along the parkway. That's Yonkers, NY, which is North of New York City, on the other side of the river.

Another sign for June. Some hints about this house:
1. It is in Chappaqua, NY
2. It is owned by a former US President and his wife.
3. The small gabled roof building on the right is where the Secret Service hangs out.
4. 'Nuff said.
Yet another sign for June. The capitol of Connecticut. This one was easy. This pix was taken on the Interstate exit ramp. Down the ramp, turn around, back on the Interstate and we're headed for Rhode Island. June, do you ever get tired of all these signs? :) Capitol of Rhode Island. The smallest state has a very impressive capitol.
Hey June, just for a change, how 'bout a night time sign.

Never allow anyone who could only get a government job attempt to tell you how to run your life.
