Paraskavedekatriaphobia!

Narrative by Pat

Today was a busy day. We started out leaving Kansas City, KS and embarked on an adventure. We traveled to the city proper and went to see the house that Charlie lived in as a young boy (?).

That was a nice diverse escape from the hum drum scenery (flat in these parts) for a while. Kansas City is a lovely city and his old neighborhood is a ‘burb’ of Kansas City.

From there we got back on track and found our way to Topeka, KS. Caught the capitol building and left for Lincoln, NE.

From Lincoln we caught Route 80 east headed towards Omaha, NE and here is where we spent the night.

Tomorrow we’re planning on making another detour and driving into Iowa to have lunch with my younger Brother.

Sign for June. My childhood house mentioned above in Pat's Narrative. The Kansas capitol in Topeka, the state capital. Y'all know I'm a Wally World fan. But I've never seen one before that looks like this.
Another sign for June. Nebraska is a NEW state! Hey George... nice town. Even has a Wal*Mart Super Center. Nebraska's capitol in Lincoln. A Day Lilly, just for fun. Very pretty!

From Elizabeth in SC:

Three more marriage zingers:
Zing: You have two choices in life: You can stay single and be miserable, or get married and wish you were dead.

Zing: At a cocktail party, first woman, "Aren't you wearing your wedding ring on the wrong finger?"
Second woman, "Yes, I am. I married the wrong man."

Zing: A lady inserted an ad in the classifieds: "Husband Wanted."
The next day she received a hundred letters.
They all said the same thing: "You can have mine."
