Route 2 - Day 15 - Wednesday, July 07, 2004

 Today's Narrative

Another day of mostly driving. The narrative is in the pix below.

The Navigator has requested I tell everybody how much easier his job is now that we're traveling on interstates. The number of decisions he has to make has been reduced substantially. This give him more time to pursue his fav pastime, sleeping :)

I think maybe tomorrow night we'll stay in a motel. Depends on what I can find.

Tonight we are camped in a WMT parking lot in Laramie, WY. 'Night.

Today we traveled from Jerome, ID to Laramie, WY.

I guess when you're Idaho and you have a small claim to fame, you hang on to it as long as possible. Great potatoes, also. Wyoming has a "Ride 'em cowboy" theme. And they're serious, too. Even have it registered.
A few days ago I posted a pix of a wind turbine. Wyoming knows wind turbines!! There were on a ridge. I was trying to count as we drove past. I stopped counting at 60! Perfect end to the day... a rare double rainbow. You know the saying about there being a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? I present this pix without further comment :)

 Thought For The Day

Snowflakes are fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together!
 Joke Of The Day

A young boy had just gotten his driving permit. He asked his father, who was a minister, if they could discuss his use of the family car. His father took him into his study and said, "I'll make a deal with you. You bring your grades up, study your Bible a little, get your hair cut and then we'll talk about it."

After about a month, the boy came back and again asked his father if they could discuss his use of the car. They again went into the father's study where the father said, "Son, I've been very proud of you. You have brought your grades up, you've studied the Bible diligently, but you didn't get your hair cut."

The young man waited a moment and then replied, "You know, Dad, I've been thinking about that. You know .. Samson had long hair, Moses had long hair, Noah had long hair, and even Jesus had long hair."

The minister said, "You're absolutely correct! They all had long hair, just like you. And everywhere they went, just like you, they walked!"
